Targeted audience
This training is intended for project managers, configuration managers, integrators, and manufacturing managers. Working knowledge of Window or Linux environment and command lines are required.
Training objectives
The objectives of this training are :
- Obj.1 – Implement Base VersionVault on your projects
- Obj.2 – Create and setup ConfigSpec in order to follow the branch strategy
- Obj.3 – Strengthen the Configuration Management process by implementing metadata

Upon completion of this training, the participant will be able :
- Use the main commands used to manage metadata, elements, and views
- Implement the proper patches
- Identify sensitive data
- Implement the necessary mechanism needed to secure them
Duration
2 days, divided into 14 modules (the program can be adapted to the technological context and level of knowledge of the trainees).

- Show the differences between two versions of elements
- Merge files and select the modifications using the Merge editor

- Creation of new metadata
Module 13 : Build software products : Clearmake

- Use the Build functionality with Clearmake
- See the ConfigRecords resulting from a Build
Module 14 : VersionVault Configuration Management : implementation and procedures

- Implementation of configuration management strategies according to the context and needs of the project
Training, technical and supervisory resources
Each course module will be covered in a hands-on exercise that will be performed via a remote ELM server provided and installed by ABlogiX. Each participant will have a computer already installed to access the ELM server.
Training support will be provided for each module and will be presented via a video projector or large screen. A whiteboard or interactive whiteboard should be provided with pens.
The training is facilitated by a consultant-trainer, which allows participants to benefit from his field experience.
